This is a great motherboard that works perfectly and has the features and capabilities that I want and need. The AI Suit program is nice for overclocking within Windows, checking temps and voltage levels, and more.
This motherboard has similar features to both the highest end gaming and desktop workstation motherboards you can find. Compatibility is great too. My case also uses the older AC'97 audio which this motherboard supports, as well Asus P9X79 Intel Chipset the new HD Audio standard.

The back eSATA is pretty cool too. Very stable, easy to overclock and use, capable, high end motherboard that's sutable for just about anything and everything you can do with a desktop PC.
Very highly recommended. I've grown weary of broken English explanations and labels in bios.
It would just take one person and they wouldn't even have to speak Chinese, just interface with the person who currently writes their "English" instructions. Go to Amazon.

By the way: Since we didn't yet get any statement, I have no idea, why my question has been set as being already Asus P9X79 Intel Chipset. Hello Fred, do you have any updates on this that can be shared with the community? Surely you have heard something by now. Today Intel officially has released the RST e drivers v I'd like to throw my agreement in here that this is really frustrating.
Since the addition of the HardwareID would not be a problem for Intel, it is not easy to understand for the X79 users, that Intel doesn't want to do it. The C series chipsets may have been primarily designed by Asus P9X79 Intel Chipset for Server systems, but you certainly know, that the mainboard manufacturers sell the X79 chipset boards as platform for high-end consumer desktop systems.

Furthermore your statement doesn't explain at all, why Intel is offering actual RST drivers v So does Intel consider this matter closed? We would like this discussed further please. How can we get the server class driver Asus P9X79 Intel Chipset to support TRIM?
Drivers are going to be available under Intel RSTe only. After reading Fred's answer, I would like to further elaborate on this question: My question basically boils into: Are both of those practices sanctioned by Intel? If the above practice is not sanctioned, why are OEMs allowed to do this and what are the actual incompatibilities?
It is my understanding, so far, that the device id is not Asus P9X79 Intel Chipset because Intel deems it's incompatible. Specifications and features vary by model, and all images are illustrative.
